Great British Anthems Concert

Brent Singers and our friends The Torbay Singers joined forces to present an evening of rousing British anthems at Buckfast Abbey. Directed by Matthew Searles and Matthew Cann, we sang a selection of pieces by British composers Bairstow, Byrd, Stainer, Elgar, Stanford, Greene, Wesley, Finzi, Ireland, Howells, Rutter and Parry. With magnificent and dramatic organ accompaniment from Charles Maxtone-Smith and wonderful soloists, we filled the Abbey to the rafters with song!

After our summer break, Brent Singers will reunite in September to begin preparations for our Christmas concert at St Petroc's Church in South Brent. Keep an eye on our website for more details.
