On Saturday, Brent Singers were invited to a workshop with our musical director Matthew Searles and organist David Davies at Buckfast Abbey. We began the day by learning about the history of Gabriel Fauré and the story behind Requiem with a brilliant and informative talk from Matthew. We then had time to get into details with the Requiem and with Vaughan-Williams' "Five Mystical Songs." We are in fine voice and looking forward to being joined on Saturday 6th April by our Come and Sing participants and performing for a concert audience in the evening.
