Tickets for Come And Sing with Brent Singers - Fauré and Vaughan Williams

Brent Singers extends a warm invitation to you to join us for an afternoon workshop to rehearse Fauré’s timeless Requiem (in the centenary year of his death) and Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs with our musical director, Matthew Searles. This will lead onto a formal concert performance in the evening, with professional soloists in beautiful surroundings of Buckfast Abbey.

Start time: 2.30pm

Location: Buckfast Abbey

Price: £20 (including score hire, tea, coffee and cake)

Timetable:

14:30: Registration in the Guest Hall (collect score etc)

15:00: Rehearsal in the Abbey

16:00: Break (tea will be provided in the Guest Hall)

16:45 Rehearsal in the Abbey

17:45 Break (the Guest Hall will remain open for anyone with a packed dinner, or take the opportunity to dine at Northgate House Hotel or San Benedetto’s Pizzeria (both on site; advanced booking required)

19:30: Concert (with interval)

We have a limited number of places, which will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please note that it is necessary to be familiar with both the pieces of music in advance of the day (links to rehearsal aids are available with your ticket.)  We will be using the OUP edition of the Fauré and the Stainer & Bell edition of the Vaughan Williams. You are welcome to use your own scores (no discount will be made on the cost of the day) but please be aware that bar/page numbers referred to during the rehearsals will be from the above editions.
